Today’s Jobsity in Action video is the final segment of our interview with Ana Sanchez, as part of our International Women’s Month celebration. Don’t miss the other installments! Part one covers Ana’s start at Jobsity, and in part two she discusses the joys and challenges of daily life at Jobsity. 

Now, we’re looking towards the future—and Ana has some advice for those who’d like to follow in her footsteps.

As she continues in her chosen career path, Ana’s always looking for ways to upskill. One of her goals is to pursue a master’s program in project management. Project management’s not only useful for developers; it has cross-industry applications and HR/TA is no exception. 

Ana also highlighted the growing demand for talent with a combination of technical expertise and soft skills. Communication, time management, and critical thinking are crucial skills for all hires. The ability to foster inclusivity and belonging in every team is invaluable, especially in a demanding tech environment. 

She has some advice for those looking to follow in her footsteps: 

  • Always look for opportunities to upskill, even if it’s as simple as listening to a podcast
  • Do your research and don’t rest on your laurels
  • Be open to different perspectives: look for information from several people in the role you’d like
  • Be relentless, be able and willing to learn, and be teachable
